footsteps sound outside my door
i wait for them to enter, i wait in vain
expectations rise, expectations fall
lack of hope overcomes desire
i fall back down
there is peace in the darkness, and a few tears
consumed by the night, i look for the light
one day ill be a star
even then overshone by many others
atleast ill have company.
